{A note about Newborns}

I absolutely LOVE taking newborn pictures! Although for the most part, newborns are the most difficult to photograph, there is just nothing sweeter than a cuddly, tiny brand-new little baby {sigh!}.  It is hard to be precise when scheduling a newborn session.  A birth is unpredicatable if it's not a c-section, and even sometimes when it is. So I really just MAKE myself available as best I can with newborns. Newborns are photographed within the first 2 weeks of life (the first 8 days are ideal).  You'll be in the hospital for a few of those days, so that's why I just aim to be extremely flexible for this type of session.

Mornings are best for babies.  You can decide whether you'll come to my in-home studio or whether you want me to come to you.  I recommend having me come to your home.  As long as I have some window light, I can do newborn pictures in any house.  I have a portable set-up just for newborns.  And you and your baby will be more comfortable  in your home.  I just bring my laptop and do some of the editing while I wait for the baby to finish nursing and fall back asleep.
